COVID-19 UPDATE
The current rise of the omicron variant poses many challenges to travel, both domestically and internationally. However, many scientists believe that the current wave should abate in the next several weeks. If the Covid-19 pandemic follows a pattern that is similar to the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1917-18 (which is far from certain at this point), then the overall situation should improve greatly following the current wave of infections.
Rules and Regulations for Foreign Countries
Many foreign countries will require proof of Covid-19 vaccination and a rapid Covid-19 test upon entry. Others will require just a negative test with 72 hours before arrival in the country. Still others will require unvaccinated individuals to quarantine for five days, even when a negative test is presented.
If you should have questions about a specific country, you should try to contact the US Embassy within that country. In general, rules for our tours conform to whatever rules have been set forth by a particular country.
Our Guided Tours
As of now, we will require a negative result of a PCR test within 72 hours of the start date for our guided tours, regardless of vaccination status. Unvaccinated individuals are welcome to join our tours, but they will have to not only show a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the start date, but also submit to testing every two days of the tour.
